This pattern was designed without a "formal" border as the squares were to be put together and the final afghan border was to be the border. I've had so many requests for a border around each square that the pattern has been updated to include a border around each square. I have included pictures of a simple border in yellow around the square.
I will create the instructions at a later date for the blanket shown with the original Fox's Young at Heart square without the border around each square and a border around the afghan.
This beautiful pattern can make an awesome afghan for just about anyone.
Use light pastels for a baby, bright crayon colors for an adolescent, wild hot bright colors for a teenager, shades of purple for a woman or blues or greens for a man.
Patriotic theme: red heart, white background and add a border in blue.
Valentine theme: red heart, white background.
Level - Easy/Advanced beginner
Size – approximately 5 1/2" by 5 1/2" using a K crochet hook and worsted weight yarn. If you use the additional border around each square it will be approximately 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" squares.
Smaller hook and thinner yarn can be used to make square smaller.
Yarn colors needed – It's up to you.
